Herbert Park Case Study

We became aware of works underway in Herbert Park, and as a result, the hoarding erected adjacent to the entrance of the park. We decided to submit a concept to Dublin City Council, to create artwork which would improve the visual environment and deter vandalism. Our concept considered the surroundings, locality, culture and heritage of the park.

Based upon the response from all stakeholders, we feel there is substantial scope to implement additional activities of this nature for the purpose of; improving the visual environment within our congregative spaces, utilising available canvases for large scale public artworks, providing a platform to express and cultivate Irish creativity and an outlet for engaging the general public with nature, recreation and culture.
